Jay Peak

Description

With a huge amount of 'glade' (gently wooded) ski areas and recording some of the best natural annual snowfall in Vermont, this is a year-round resort with Vermont's only cable car (aerial tram) which received new tram cars for the 2000 - 2001 season. The resort installed the new "Green Mountain Flyer," the longest detachable quad in the East at 2310metres (7,700-feet/2 miles) in length for the 1999/2000 season. The Leitner built chairlift can carry up to 2,600 skiers per hour.
